Digital design is a key tool today; the CAD Patternmaker course using the LECTRA® system enables students to acquire operational skills on the software most widely used in the clothing sector. Through the Modaris and Diamino applications, students learn digital pattern construction, pattern adjustments, grading and digital marker making.
The use of CAD allows for the precise management of variants, corrections and production workflows, improving processing times, data control and the organisation of the collection development process.

Digitising patternmaking and management is now a mandatory path in order to work in the industry: the course introduces the use of CAD software for apparel, teaching how to create patterns, grade sizes and make digital markers for production.
The course prepares students to work in the fashion and manufacturing sectors, focusing on pattern and size development, garment industrialisation, and collaborating with fashion designers and prototypists.
This professional can work in companies, patternmaking bureaux or operate as a freelancer, possessing both technical and design skills.

The course programme provides the patternmaker with the CAD skills required to create, transform and industrialise the various elements of a garment's paper pattern. Students learn how to precisely manage digital blocks, correctly complete size charts for grading, and prepare marker files destined for production.
