Moulage, the seminar at Next!

The Padua office was the setting for the first course of Moulage held by the lecturer Luca Giannola for Next Fashion SchoolMoulage, also known as draping, is a manual technique that shapes fabric on a dress form using cuts, pins and draping.

Straight from the 1930s, this three-dimensional shaping technique has been used mainly in Haute Couture but also in Prêt-à-porter; several couturiers have enhanced its creative potential and today, thanks to its versatility, it has become a subject of study for fashion designers, tailors and patternmakers.
