Sofia Fabris wins the 2025 Zonta Italia Scholarship

On 27 May in Palazzo Isimbardi - Milan– the award ceremony was held with the assignment of Zonta Italy Scholarship 2025: Sofia Fabris, second-year student of Fashion Design at Next Fashion School, Padua branch, has won this important award!

Zonta Italia, in collaboration with the Natale Ferrario Foundation, establishes an annual scholarship worth €7,000.00, intended for talented young women. The aim of the call for applications is to support educational and professional pathways in the sectors of craftsmanship, design and business, fostering innovation and personal development.

This 2025 edition of the Zonta Italy Scholarship is specifically dedicated to the fashion sector, with the aim of promoting creativity, innovation and tradition in a strategic field for Made in Italy.

We asked her:

  • What kind of fashion designer would you like to become?

“The more I study, the more I realise the negative impact the fashion industry has on the environment and
on workers in developing countries. For this reason, my aim is to launch a project
clothing upcycling: giving a second life to clothes we no longer wear by transforming them into new ones
boss, instead of allowing them to end up in the immense landfills that arise in the deserts and
oceans, places we too often forget about, simply because they are far away from us.
I would like to create a local initiative where environmental and corporate ethics coexist, to
bring about a small positive change in my own way, and with dedication and a bit of luck, make myself
knowing and inspiring other people, educating society in conscious purchasing and the reduction of
waste.”

  • How is Next Fashion School contributing to your journey?

“Next Fashion School is enriching my knowledge and skills, providing me with the necessary tools to make the most of my creative abilities. This institution stands out for its ability to value the personality and creativity of its students, offering them the tools to turn their passions into a career. For me, this journey began as a dream that is now taking shape thanks to the high-quality training offered by the school. The teachers, who are knowledgeable and well-prepared, are not only teaching me Fashion Design techniques, but also encouraging me to develop the self-confidence and resourcefulness needed to take part in competitions like the one I had the pleasure of winning.”

Congratulations to Sofia, who keeps the training and spirit of the Next Generation flying high!
