Villa Benni for Breathe

An elegant neoclassical residence with Art Nouveau touches, set within a vast park with a century of history to tell: Villa Benni is a prestigious venue a stone's throw from the centre of Bologna, an exclusive location for organising unforgettable events and initiatives.

Built starting from 1924, the very first stone of Villa Benni is love, the kind that drove the founder Alfredo Benni – an agronomist and successful entrepreneur born in 1864 – to build the villa for his wife and son based on the designs of his friend and decorator Silvio Gordini, and thanks to the craftsmanship of 55 artisans who worked tirelessly on site until the work was completed.

The idea that the Villa – built to last, as evidenced by the thickness of the marble dust on the external walls – has a great deal to do with feelings is confirmed by the fact that the current owners, Giancarlo and Concetta Mazzini, arrived in May 1963, three months after getting married. Since 2001, when Aureliano Benni died leaving them the Villa in his will, together with their children Marcella and Marcello, the couple has been running the catering and bed & breakfast business which allows guests from all over the world to enjoy this oasis of peace that has always been the pride and joy of the Felsinean city.
